Pis, PCBs and RFIDs
Meow Wolf’s Las Vegas installation was the debut of the Experience Operating System (EOS) developed on my team, Platform, within Meow Wolf. This system relies on custom software and hardware, as well as off the shelf hardware, to utilize RFID technology to create a digital, player focused layer to the exhibit.
Custom built RFID and Raspberry Pi running “dockerized” software with touch display and LED enclosure.
Narrative computers allow guests to access character emails and documents, as well as collect and save images, and videos to your RFIDs “DramDrive” which can be accessed out of exhibit
Narrative Kiosks provide guests an overview of their game progress as well as access to files and videos gained throughout their visit on the RFID card.
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

The internal components connecting power, audio amplification, and LED control were originally off the shelf PiHats and accessories (PCBs designed for Raspberry Pis),
They were then reverse engineered to be on one PCB, which could be mass manufactured for the many different raspberry pis that were required for this exhibit
